Lakas Tomasino Coalition wins landslide victory despite being slammed by Central Comelec (Update: Video!)
Well, what can I say, they are really good. Despite Central Comelec’s wrath to their party, they still manage to snag ALL the positions for next year’s CSC batch. Hey, that’s 2010-2011, the quadricentennial central student councils! Congratulations and keep it up! The results are out but the numbers aren’t in, yet; but I’ll post it here as soon as it is posted.

Sorry na peeps. nagkamali na ko. Hindi ako isang responsableng botante. Pero to be honest, hindi ko kilala yung mga candidate members ng Aklas kasi hindi ko sila nakikita mag campaign at sa mga tarpaulin or mga printed ads ko lang sila nakikita. Independent members lang yung madalas yung na eencounter ko lagi particularly si Franz tsaka si Ryan Tze na both independent and the same time cute sila. Natutuwa ako sa kanila kasi ang sipag nila mangampanya lalo na si Franz kahit 8pm nangangampanya. Tapos some of my friends compare the faces of the candidates and in favor sila sa Independent candidates. Kaya nag vote straight Independent ako. Inaamin ko sa looks and how frequently I encounter them campaigning ako nagbase ng aking pagboto . Sorry and I hope you’ll forgive me.

Im not sure pero five times akong nilapitan ng Independent candidates and they are so nice. Naisip ko kung iboto ko sila hindi ako mahihiyang humingi ng tulong or magtanong kasi alam ko hindi sila suplada o suplado. Kasi last time lumapit ako sa isang official member ng CSC hindi man lang nila ko pinansin:(. Oh di ba.Kaya hindi lang ako sa looks bumase kundi sa personality ng mga candidates. Pero sana yung pagiging nice sa akin ay gawin nila sa iba all the time.

As founder of Lakas Tomasino, I would like to correct your statement that LTC came from AKLAS, I was never an AKLAS member or any of its affiliates, we did not come from AKLAS but we came from the hearts and minds of the students who wants to be given the power to choose and a chance to make a change.
kung sino ka man na nagsasabi na ang LTC galing sa aklas di mo alam kung ano ang history ng LTC……..Iresearch mo muna yan.

“freedom wall” nga daw toh. so un. freedom of speech,expression,etc. hayaan na lang natin magsalita ang bawat isa. wag na lang din po magsagutan para wala na lang samaan ng loob.:) tapos na po ang election. non partisan na ulit dapat tayo.:)
I think it would be up to the incoming CSC to prove that electing them into office was worth it. Yes, we all have our reasons as to why we voted for who in what, but these reasons become irrelevant (to some extent, here in our university) once the incoming becomes the ‘currently seated’. I just hope, that the incoming are strong yet humble enough for the central sc, because its completely different compared to serving in a LSC or being a staffer. And besides, tulad ng panliligaw, pag ‘kayo na’ at mahal mo talaga— araw araw mo liligawan. So ganun din, dapat parang araw araw silang nangangampanya, ‘yun lang this time in action. :D
On the other hand, the voting populace always has the right to impeach (worse comes to worst). But I guess, it’s ironic to expect strong reasons to impeach, if the reasons to elect are weak. Reasons only become relevant from beginning to end if it wasn’t bred out of ignorance.
Kaya sa susunod na election, magkusa tayo sa pagkilala sa mga tatakbo kung talagang may care tayo. Hindi lahat ng kandidato may oras para maabot ang 40 000 na studyante, magkakaroroon lang sila ng gan’ung kakayahan pag nakaupo na sila. ‘Wag tayong magpadala sa tono ng pananalita or sa ayos ng pananamit, kasi hindi ‘yan ang nilalaman ng puso. X)
Alam nating hindi masyado pinapansin ng mga Tomasino ang kanilang students’ rights kasi busy tayong ipasa ang sobrang daming academic units. Pero kung alam niyo lang ang kakayahan ng CSC para iimprove ang student-prof relations, panigurado maatat kayo bumoto. ;)

LaGi naman ganian eh. . . lahat ng mag kakatapat yan lagi ang sinasabi kexo sinisiraan sila ng kabila, backfire o kahit na ano pah. .
classmate ko si jupao pero di ko siya binoto. bakit? kasi di ko naman siya narinig magcampaign. or di ko man lang siya nahagilap nung campaign, kahit sa sarili naming college.
at tsaka yung mga independent, well, mga taga lakas, araw araw ko sila nakikita nangangampanya. 7 uwian ko, pero mga 2 or 3 nights in a row ko silang nakita sa labas ng building namin nagcacampaign, kahit gabi na.
