Hey, this just in! so… Some 3000-4000 engineering students voted for the next ESC officers for the year 2010-2011 and now, the results are in! Seems like many of you voted for SIKLAB. Also, my crush is in the lists! Ain’t that nice? :))

Being an ESC officer in past, i am very disappointed with how engineering voted for their officer in the past few years, Engg people as i thought are educated enough to choose who is the correct one for the post, but with what had happen in the past few years, it seems that the election is just a show of face, parang pageant n lng sana next year makita ko n ung eng vote bumalik s dati and will not just choose based on beauty but based on platform :) i really hope so that eng will be a wise voter by next year.
I hope your not disappointed because your “party” didn’t win. However, let’s give this year’s winners the benefit of the doubt. AY 2010-2011 haven’t even started yet so let’s see if they prove you right ;)
(There may be / there is something wrong in the campaign process. Instead of stating their platform, the candidates are acting like theater actors with their fancy slogans.)
how sure are you that it was about face value ala pageant? i didn’t hear any platforms from your party and yet you’re saying it’s based on beauty?! give me a break! i have nothing against both the candidates for presidency as both of them are deserving for the post. but don’t get wrong, i hardly saw/read/heard any platforms from your party.
please, know the facts first before complaining or stating your reason/grievance. :)

sorry if i was able to say that but im not talking about any party here, yes im part of LAKAS and RESPECT but did you here me talking about any party in my statement, its very general “in the past few years” it does not only mean this year but even though i mean this year we also have candidates who won the election this year, so im not speaking for or against any party here, im talking in general. im not questioning who have won the election because its not upto my words if they deserve the win, its something for them to prove.
since you speak of “you dont hear any platforms from the party i belong to” be careful of that, for you to know that im part of that party it means a lot and its says a lot.
there are a lot of things that our party have started almost all the activity the engineering student council have emanated from the leadership of our party, even the constitution that the council is using upto this time was been drafted by your very own. so be careful of what you are saying against our party as we have done a lot for the past 15years of our existence.

i understand your point. i also understand that you’re my senior. what i was saying was that why not use the “platform-based” campaign and not the “dynamic-based” campaign. do you get what i’m saying?
the students of the Faculty of Engineering are not gullible. yes, you have to catchier tag-line, or the best dynamics, but the students are also looking the content of their campaign. ask the languages professors of the Faculty and you’ll get my point. but still, it’s up to the students of the Faculty to decide.
and please. don’t remind us that you are one of the oldest, if not the oldest, party in the Faculty. one thing i know is that your party does not have a solid foundation. if it does have one, then why did it merge with Lakas Inhinyerong Tomasino?
actually im not from respect originally, im the founder of LAKAS ng Inhinyerong Tomasino, and our party have also battled with RESPECT for several years, but the merger does not says the RESPECT doesnt have any solid foundation, even before any other party have come, RESPECT and Lakas ng Inhinyerong tomasino already have plans of merger it just not push thru because if do so that time we will not be giving the student the choice to choose the leader they deserve, but now that they alraedy have a choice we have formally decided to push thru with the merger. even if im from the opposing party before i still do respect the RESPECT party as i know they have done a lot of things for the Engineering student. ACTION just speak Lauder than words. and thats says it all cguro mas dapat pang patunayan nung other party taht they really deserve to be in that post, because their platforms is just in words but for 3 years none of it still push thru.

sana talaga alam ng mga engineering students yan. I’ve heard some students voted someone from your party,for the reason of she is beautiful. But to be honest, if we would compare her to the platform of her opponent, credentials palang. As a normal student you would know na may mas maibubuga yung isa. Well, too bad, this person didn’t win. But I have nothing against with the won who got into that position, maybe she deserves that position. I depends on her on how she will do good on it.

If i’m not mistaken. Mas gumanda ang council nung dumating ang siklab. THE COUNCIL IS SHIT nung wala pa ung Siklab. hindi maganda ung performance ng Council. sana pag mag sasalita ka ayus ayusin mo ha. please. nakaka irita ka eh.

Arvin Ballesteros and Ross Hernandez am i Right 2 persons which i hate most.
Ross Hernadez a person who would run for LIT but was a traitor and on the day of the election Run for AKLAS for central. and he was a certified talunan. thats what you called KARMA.
Arvin Bellesteros. who run under RESPECT for ESC but loose on the election. he then run for Central under AKLAS as president even if he is not qualified, and he loose that election. and he Run as president ander SIKLAB but he losse again.
ngaun sabihin nyo saan nang galing ang SIKLAB? di b s mga taong traidor? tell me then ano ang naituro ng mga founder nyo s inyo? do they ever tell you anything good?

hello there guys :) these blog is cool :D andaming nagcocomment. though meron lang harsh comments, minsan masakit tlg ang katotohanan. gaya nung RESPECT-LIT merger na sabi ng RESPECT ay APOLITICAL daw sila. which is di na nila nasagot. dun sa simula nang dumating ang SIKLAB sa council, eh gumanda ang performance ng ESC, we should not look in that perspective, though mejo evident naman. dun naman sa face value ang labanan, un ang trend for the past 3 years kong stay sa UST. sa central pa lang, how LAKAS TOMASINO packages their candidates. twas great. nakuha nila ang UST with charm. and sa ESC naman, alam natin na puro lalaki ang mga tao sa engg so di natin masisi ang ilan na iboboto ay babae. default yun pero masusolusyonan pa yun with more advocacies ng mga partido or even some concerned organizations. the elections are over and all we have to do is cooperate with the incoming ESC officers and celebrate UST’s 400th year with a bang! INHINYERONG TOMASINO TAYO! :D
I’ll be talking straight to the point, Mr. Dolde. Those 2 people turned back from their original party would doesn’t mean that they are “TRAYDORS”. Have you tried to ask yourself why did they form a new political party in the first place? Maybe because they can see something WRONG from their ORIGINAL parties. No offense, but the people from SIKLAB now are doing a good job in the council and also in their own organizations in the Faculty.

hindi ko alam kung pano ka gumraduate ng high-school. pasado ka sa grade school english pero sa high-school english, siguradong lagpak ka. nakakairitang basahin ang comments mo pero in fairness nakakatawa ang english mo. i don’t care about the 2 parties as long as they’re doing their jobs and responsibilities as officers of the ESC.
the pageantry is a shame. platforms are mere proposals, and these proposals are up to the higher beings to approve. if these projects seem a bit off-track, feasibility-wise as well, then the administration would definitely junk these. and you, being a former council officer should know that. stupid.
nakakatawa na lang talaga ang away pulitika ninyong mga students. you are not even getting paid for the job. the only time you prove us wrong is when you become visible, not only during the Faculty week but all-year through. if hindi ninyo nadedeliver ang responsibilities ninyo as officers, as rle models, as students, then all i can say is that you just want FAME, POWER, and ATTENTION. prove us wrong. be responsible student leaders who are of service to the Faculty sustaining the Faculty’s needs of a balanced student-life.
